Part of the skill as well as removing backgrounds and adding new ones is getting the angles and perspectives right. Sometimes you just don't have the right photograph to present your product in the right light. This is when Photoshop comes into play.

I needed an action shot of one of my new products vacuuming up oil. I knew In had a photograph from several years ago so I found the photo and went to work.
So now I want to show the man cleaning up the spill with a better result so I need to do some Photoshop trickery. The light is good and the image size is great as it was taken with a good camera so the pixel density is thick enough to be able to adjust easily. These are all Photoshop aspects that can be learnt quite quickly and then used effectively to help sell your new product.

I need to add an area where he has just successfully cleaned.

I then copy the ground nearby and then insert into the area I have created.

Like so. Next I need to add the new drum vac.

It perfectly blocks out the other older pump and unless you look closely you won’t tell what I have done. This sort of skill can really help to flesh out your product range and really look a lot bigger and more sophisticated than you actually are. I now have one of my new drum Vacs in action and can add them to any sales brochure I want to put on my website or send to a potential client.
