Blackwoods Gladstone. Blackwoods is a national hardware and reseller chain in Australia that deal with all workplace products and buy from me about once a month.
This customer is a reseller that sells my products after a request from either a mine or an offshore drilling platform. I offer them a 20% discount.
This drum vacuum is a standard 48 cfm twin venturi model for the vacuum recovery of all wet spills excluding flammable fluids. This particular sale went through very quickly as I had dealt with Blackwoods Gladstone only 4 weeks before.
When I deal with resellers I offer a 20% discount. This means less profit for me however if you have enough resellers then you will get a steady stream of orders. Many large companies will have accounts only with large chain resellers so it is often good to get in with these types of resellers. As the sales may come from any of the hundreds of Blackwoods across Australia I don't set up an account with any of them and demand payment up front. Usually once the individual Blackwoods store has been in touch with me I will co-ordinate with the big company who are buying through them.

Often when I quote to a company like Blackwoods I will include an image of the unit with all the technical details that way it makes it easier as often they will pass details back and forth between Blackwoods and the primary buyer. Like image in email and below.
I then get a call from Rachell, Blackwoods Customer Service Officer, just confirming a few points in regard to the vacuum. She checks with client. They give the go ahead then second email with PO attached comes in.
